Old Harbor Native Corporation provides a number of services for shareholders.  We have provided forms and instructions for you to keep your shareholder information current. Job Announcement

 Vice President of Business Development

Old Harbor Native Corporation (OHNC) requires a Vice President of Business Development to lead and oversee the development and growth of profitable new business and to develop and maintain effective key agency relationships. This position will be responsible for all aspects of managing new Business Development.  This position will also ensure business growth through directing and managing business development activities to ensure these are delivered in accordance with the organizational strategy.

 Responsible to:  Chief Executive Officer

External relationships:  New Businesses

Internal relationships:  Senior Management, Account Management Team, Marketing, Finance and Administration

Salary:  Negotiable

Hours:  40 hours/Week

Location:  Anchorage, Alaska

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

·   Contribute to the development and refinement of Company’s vision and strategy 

·   Spearhead new business development initiatives that are consistent with the company’s overall strategy and mission statement

·   Support the overall process of management and corporate decision-making to ensure the organization maximizes its short, medium and long-term profitability and shareholder returns

·   Liaise with other executive heads on the implementation of the company’s strategic and operational plans

·   Develop, review, and report on the business development strategy, ensuring the strategic objectives are well understood and executed by the team

·   Oversee multiple business initiatives in a start-up environment

·   Revenue generation and strategic partnerships development

·   In conjunction with the CEO and CFO negotiate contracts and work with legal counsel as required

·   Be a driving force in the development of work ethic, culture and values of new business development.  Through personal example, establish the style and approach which will characterize the Company’s dealings with the marketplace.

Management of the Overall Business Development Function Including: 

o   Impact the profitability of the company through ensuring strategic and tactical management decisions and new business development results

o   Marketing 

o   Competitor and market analysis

o   Develop plans for new Business Development in sourcing, managing and implementing new busines opportunities

o   Ensure efficient and effective planning and assist management team in developing long-term strategies

o   Present a budget for management approval and prudently manage resources within those budgetary guidelines according to company policy and within ethical corporate governance guidelines

o   Maintain and develop organizational culture, values and reputation in its markets and with all staff, customers, suppliers, partners and regulatory/official bodies

 Requirements:

A business development executive who can accurately identify opportunities, lead necessary due-diligence initiatives and provide a recommendation to management.  This executive will need to actively lead the business development function in an effective, aggressive, and ethical manner.  At the same time, this executive is also expected to be a contributor to the management of the company as a whole, as a member of the management team.  It is vital that this person is a team player.

·   Experience in business development, marketing and/or sales

·   A MBA, Bachelor’s degree in Business or Marketing is preferred

·   Experience in budgeting, proforma, cash flow and project planning is preferred
