Elizabeth Church joined Old Harbor Native Corporation in January 2018 as the Executive Assistant. In her role, Elizabeth is responsible for providing support to the CEO and Board of Directors. She brings over 12 years of management experience to her role. Elizabeth has spent the majority of her career assisting Alaskan tribes with their programs and grants ensuring compliance with funding agreements and providing management of non-profit programs in Oregon and Idaho. Since her return to Alaska in 2015, she has spent time getting reacquainted with the villages and tribes by providing management of employment assistance, social service programs and marketing initiatives.
Elizabeth is Yupik and was born in Dillingham, Alaska and raised in the Bering Sea village of Quinhagak. She has two daughters Alexis and Taren and one son Stephan. She is also the proud grandmother of 9 grandchildren. The newest additions to this "VIP" group include the twins Samantha and Jamilyn. Her family continues to reside in her home village of Quinhagak.
Most weekends Elizabeth spends time at home in Copper Center with her significant other Joe, immersed in their rural lifestyle and maintaining a healthy life balance by making it a priority to have relaxing weekends doing what they both love.
