Heidi Christiansen is the receptionist at the Old Harbor Native Corporation office located in Anchorage. She was raised in Old Harbor and her parents are Almeria Carroll from Fort Yukon, Alaska and the late Wesley Christiansen, Sr. from Old Harbor, Alaska. Her Grandparents from Old Harbor are Rolf Christiansen Sr. and Florence (Matfay) Pestrikoff. She has 6 siblings and is Gwich’in Athabascan and Alutiiq.
Heidi graduated from Nenana High School in 2005. She was a stay at home mom for 5 years. Recently, she completed her Counselor Technician Training and is continuing her education in the Regional Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor Training (RADACT) program. She is licensed from the Alaska Commission of Behavioral Health. She continues to attend college and is determined to graduate. Heidi has been attending the University of Alaska Anchorage since 2015 studying to become a Substance Abuse Counselor. She is passionate about helping others who are on a journey of personal growth and development.
She lives in Eagle River with her husband Jason Christiansen and kids, Caleb and Julianna. Heidi enjoys, fishing, dip netting, game harvesting, fish processing, hiking, traveling, crocheting, beadwork, playing the guitar, crafting, cooking and spending quality time with her family.
