Heidi Christiansen is the receptionist at OHNC Anchorage office. She was raised in Old Harbor. Her father a bear guide and fisherman and mom a tribal clerk. Her parents are the late Wesley Christiansen from Old Harbor, AK and Almeria Carroll from Fort Yukon, AK. Her Grandparents from Old Harbor are Rolf Christiansen Sr. and Florence (Matfay) Pestrikoff. She has 6 siblings. She is Gwich’in Athabascan and Alutiiq.
Heidi graduated from Nenana High School in 2005. She was a stay at home mom for 5 years. Recently completed her Counselor Technician Training and receiving a Counselor Technician Certificate at the Regional Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor Training (RADACT). She is licensed from the Alaska Commission of Behavioral Health. She continues to stay in college and is determined to be a College Graduate. Heidi has been attending the University of Alaska Anchorage since 2015 studying to become a Substance Abuse Counselor. She is passionate about helping others who are on a journey of personal growth and development.
She lives in Anchorage with her husband Jason Christiansen and kids, Caleb and Julianna. Heidi enjoys, fishing, dip netting, game harvesting, fish processing, hiking, traveling, crocheting, beadwork, playing the guitar, crafting, cooking and spending quality time with her family.
