Alexandria Troxell

Director of Community Affairs

Alexandria Troxell

Alexandria ‘Christiansen’ Troxell has served as the Director of Community Affairs for the Old Harbor Native Corporation since December 2023. She works to preserve cultural heritage and foster youth engagement within the community.

Before joining the Old Harbor Native Corporation, Alexandria D. Troxell gained extensive experience in leadership and community-focused roles. At Koniag, she served as the Shareholder Projects Supervisor, where she managed events, budgets, and facilities, while overseeing programs that benefited Shareholders and Elders. As the Sales & Marketing Director for Sun’aq Tribal Enterprises, Alexandria led marketing efforts, supervised staff, and expanded the reach of locally-sourced seafood through international trade shows. Earlier in her career, she worked at the Kodiak Area Native Association (KANA) as the Outreach Services Coordinator, where she managed grants, supervised village program staff, and ensured compliance with program objectives.

Born in Kodiak, Alaska, and raised in the village of Old Harbor, Alexandria is the daughter of Carl and Darlene Christiansen. Her deep connection to her roots informs her work, which includes managing educational and cultural camps, overseeing agricultural initiatives, and providing resources that promote sustainable living.

Alexandria ‘Christiansen’ Troxell is an enrolled member of the Sun’aq Tribe of Kodiak, where she served as a council member for a decade. With nearly 10 years of experience as a volunteer Tribal Court Judge for the Sun’aq Tribe, she has demonstrated a steadfast commitment to upholding tribal justice. Alexandria also contributes her expertise at a national level as a board member of the National American Indian Tribal Court Judges Association (NAICJA).

In addition to her professional responsibilities, Alexandria is an entrepreneur and co-owner, with her husband Nick Troxell, of two fishing vessels operating in Kodiak and Bristol Bay. Together, they are raising three children—Truxton, Olivia, and Braelyn. Alexandria’s personal interests include traditional Alaskan activities such as hunting, fishing, beading, and skin sewing, which reflect her commitment to preserving and celebrating her cultural heritage.
